Shireen Qudosi

“We are in the midst of giants at war, between faiths as old as sands and ideas as old as time.
And in the sands of time, lies the grain of our generation; a generation of billions of souls with infinite potential at the threshold of possibility, ready for a new beginning, a future more brilliant than a thousand suns.
A blazing future bursting with possibilities beyond imagine; future that is ours if and only if we step out of darkness.”

Shireen is a writer, blogger, a public relations consultant, and one of the leading moderate Muslim reformers in the United States. She received her B.A in English from the University of California, Irvine, followed by a brief attendance at California Western School of Law. She left law school to engage in independent religious studies, with an emphasis on studying the perceptions of religious followers. Her initial seven year journey into faith and religion paved the way for a faceted understanding of Islam in the 21st century. In that time, she has successfully launched the popular blog Qudosi Chronicles, welcomed by both sides of political and religious divide, and offered her services as a Muslim Public Relations Consultant after several successful cases proved her capability in this area.

Qudosi has closely followed the rise of Islam in Europe, paired with first hand observations of Muslim communities in Asia, the Middle East, and North America. She is a strong advocate for empowering moderate Muslims who are willing to challenge radical elements in Islam, as well as supporting Sufism as a counter to the growing reach of Wahhabism. Her articles have appeared in Islamist Watch, the Middle East Forum, Illume Magazine, American Thinker, Hudson-NY, Muslim World Today, Family Security Matters, Pajamas Media, and the Green Prophet among others. Qudosi is a Sufi Muslim, a conservative, and of Middle Eastern/South Asian ancestry.

She is also a freelance writer having been published in over 75 print/online publications and has a strong background in communications and new media marketing. Having lived in the Middle East, South Asia, Europe, Asia, and America, Shireen offers a vivid multicultural experience with a rich understanding of diverse groups and an ability to cultivate a positive synergy within them.
